Howl-O-Ween Pawrade Oct. 30, 2004
What
a howl'n good time was had at our first Howl-O-Ween Pawrade, held on
the grounds at Godfrey's. The gray October weather didn't dampen the
spirits of our participants...no, siree, not one bit! The fun
began around 1:00p.m., when 24 costumed canines arrived, escorted by
their human companions.
Cheryl, our Pawrade Marshall (and Godfrey's Sales Associate), led the
pawrade around "Brumhilde's Broom", "Harvey the Ghost",
"Tommy the Tarantula" and "Bonnie the Bat".
Games and giveaways occurred along the way, while Halloween tunes played.
At the end, every canine enjoyed their very own treat bag filled
with Godfrey's biscuits and there were refreshments for all.
So
many great costumes, so many smiling faces...a portuguese water dog
group dressed as "The Village People" (too cute!), the bassett
hound contingent complete with a bassett hound angel, westies, a chihuahua,
"western" greyhounds, a princess, a golden, labs, an airedale, a dear female firefighter named
"Sandy", a siberian husky wedding, complete with a preacher
and a church organist (how creative!)....just to name a few.
